Do you drive a Karmann Ghia? Are you looking for VW classic insurance? We have the insurance for you, here's a list of some of the type of Karmann Ghias we cover.
Karmann Ghia
In most people’s minds, the ultimate car would be styled by the Italians - and engineered by the Germans. Well, the beautiful Karmann Ghia is just that. Styled by the much vaunted Ghia styling house of Turin, and lovingly crafted by the Karmann Karosserie in Osnabruck, the Ghia’s stylish body belied its humble - but reliable - Beetle underpinnings. From the stunning early ‘lowlight’ models to the Europa bumpered run-out versions, every Ghia is a lovely looking bit of kit. Many Ghias have been imported, often from the USA, meaning there’s probably more left-hookers over here than original RHD cars. Whichever continent yours hails from, and whether its stock, dilapidated or custom perfection, we want to hear from you!
Karmann Ghia Cabrio
The best, made even better!. This was about as close as VW got to making their own sport scar back in the day, with Karmann once again coming up with the good on a fabulous drophead body style, Once again, the power (or lack of) came from the Beetle, with a range of 1.2, 1.3 and 1.6 engines available over the years. Ghias are complex cars, particularly from a body construction viewpoint, with the shell being made of many smaller pressings compared to other production VWs. The convertible even more so! Obtaining cover that factors in the cost of repair or replacement on a Ghia is crucial, so leave it to the experts and give us a shout!
